Sometime back in August, I was itching and itching and craving for japanese teppanyaki. So, considering that Shima no longer serves teppanyaki buffet, ala carte style, me & the bf decided to try out the cheaper alternative – Jurong Hilltop.
We psycho-ed nad and tiger to join us, and with the bf as the driver, we travelled to the ulu part of the island for some good food.
Surprisingly, it was packed! We had to wait a while for ‘ringside’ seats. I’ll let the pictures do the talking… Pictures courtesy of ms. nadnut (cos mum brought my cam to UK).

This is my fave teppanyaki dish, does anyone know how they make that special sauce? Recipes?

The meal ended with complimentary desserts and we were so full! But of course, never too tired or sleepy for our after-dinner session of mahjong!! I think I lost.
The bf and I had beef, salmon, miso soup, garlic rice, shitake mushrooms, prawns and our bill came up to about $80+. Not bad for a filling meal.
If we were at Shima, the set meal alone would cost $75+++ per pax, but of course, the taste is different.
By the way, even though they priced one portion of beef at $20+++, you can split the portion into 2!

You didn’t take a shot of them flaming the beef? Spectacular theatrics
